Since the first IUPAC Congress held at Vienna in 1967, and in subsequent Congresses, crop protection experts have been sharing their views and solutions on emerging issues in agriculture of global significance.
However, the lack of understanding among various communities about crop protection chemicals still persists, with many export commodities being rejected by different countries. Therefore, there is a need to tackle this issue both at a National and International level, bringing together various stakeholders on one platform.
Society for the Promotion of Sustainable Agriculture (SPSA) , in association with ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi and Institute of Pesticide Formulation Technology (IPFT) , Gurugram, as hosts of 15th IUPAC International Congress of Crop Protection Chemistry , would like to address these issues and achieve a balanced view on the use of crop protection chemicals. Your presence at the Congress during 14th-17th March 2023 in New Delhi, India at Bharat Ratna C. Subramaniam Auditorium (NASC Complex) would help us to realize this aspiration.
The venue is built in the heart of city, close to the center for Green Revolution in India, IARI, and can accommodate more than 1500 scientists interested in crop protection chemistry. We hope to see a galaxy of world-renowned speakers from academia, industry, government and many others. The congress will provide a forum for scientists from different disciplines, in academia, industry and other areas to discuss latest trends and discoveries in agrochemicals and phytomedicines, and to deliberate on important issues of agricultural research, presenting their views as policy inputs to the planners, decision/opinion makers at various levels. Participating at the Congress will give you the opportunity to broaden your network and to reach out to your fellow crop protection scientists.
The overall congress theme will be “Futuristic Approaches towards Seed to Market Strategies”. The Congress promises to be a gathering of next generation crop health scientists and professionals for whom your presence will be a source of inspiration.
